We recently connected with Maria Dominguez C. Geraci and have shared our conversation below.

Maria, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I believe work ethic is revealed long before success is.

For me, it comes from a mindset I developed early in my career: if I put my name behind something, I take ownership of the outcome. I believe in understanding why the work matters, doing it well, and holding myself accountable for the result.

That philosophy became especially important as I built ACP Billing Services Inc. I wanted to create a healthcare business recognized for its standards, consistency, and ability to become a true business partner to the providers we serve.

Healthcare is an industry where the work behind the scenes carries significant importance. Revenue cycle management is not simply about submitting claims or managing business processes. It is about protecting a provider’s financial performance, strengthening business management, creating operational stability, and allowing healthcare professionals to focus more of their energy on patient care.

Building ACP has reinforced my belief that work ethic is measured by ownership, consistency, ethical decision-making, and the quality of the work delivered. Throughout my career, I have learned to approach opportunities with a mindset of continuous growth, thoughtful decision-making, and attention to detail.

My work ethic is also rooted in continuous improvement. I am naturally driven to ask, How can this be done better? How can we create a stronger process? How can we deliver greater value to the providers we serve? Those questions influence how I lead ACP and approach every client relationship.

I do not view hard work as simply putting in more hours. I view it as bringing discipline, accountability, resilience, and intention to every responsibility. It means being willing to learn, adapting as the business evolves, and continuing to raise your standards even after achieving a certain level of success.

Ultimately, the reputation you build is determined by what you consistently deliver, not by what you say you can deliver. That principle continues to guide ACP Billing Services Inc. as we help healthcare providers strengthen their financial performance, improve business management, and operate with greater confidence.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

At ACP Billing Services Inc., we believe healthcare providers deserve more than a company that simply processes claims. They deserve a business partner that understands the financial, operational, and business-management demands behind delivering quality healthcare.

I founded ACP with that philosophy at the center of everything we do. ACP specializes in medical billing, medical coding, and business management, helping providers strengthen their revenue cycle, improve financial performance, enhance operational efficiency, and build stronger businesses.

What I find most exciting about this work is supporting healthcare providers at different stages of their professional and business journeys. Every organization has its own vision, priorities, and goals, and we are committed to delivering services that reflect the importance of each provider’s business.

Our role extends beyond the mechanics of billing. ACP brings a professional, accountable, and business-minded perspective to healthcare operations, helping providers manage their businesses with greater clarity, confidence, and control.

An important part of that commitment is provider credentialing. ACP offers complimentary provider credentialing when ACP is the provider’s primary partner for billing, coding, and business management. We made this decision because credentialing helps providers establish participation with health plans and supports the growth of their practices. We want this service to be part of the value clients receive through a long-term partnership with ACP.

ACP serves healthcare organizations across all 50 states. We also offer complimentary consultations with flexible meeting options. For organizations located within California, in-person consultations can be arranged through our Southern or Northern California offices. For organizations outside California, one-on-one consultations can be arranged at an ACP office location within their state. Virtual consultations are also available through Zoom.

I believe providers should be able to focus their resources on building their practices and caring for patients rather than carrying the full weight of their business responsibilities. Our objective is to provide dependable support that allows providers to work with greater confidence while remaining focused on the patients and communities they serve.

What makes ACP particularly meaningful to me is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with providers. Professionalism, accountability, ethical decision-making, integrity, and attention to detail are standards I believe should never be compromised.

As ACP continues to grow, my focus remains on strengthening our services, expanding the value we provide, and responding to the evolving needs of the healthcare industry without compromising quality. Our goal is not simply to work with more providers, but to establish meaningful, long-term partnerships with organizations that value accountability, transparency, professionalism, and performance.

Ultimately, ACP is about helping healthcare providers build stronger businesses behind the care they provide. When providers have greater confidence in their business and revenue cycle operations, they can devote more time and energy to their patients. That is the vision I continue to build ACP around: stronger financial performance, smarter business management, operational excellence, and a partnership providers can rely on.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, three qualities have had the greatest impact on how I have built and led ACP Billing Services Inc.: disciplined leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build strong professional relationships.

The first is disciplined leadership and accountability. Building a company has taught me that leadership is defined by the standards you establish and consistently uphold. It requires ownership, sound judgment, and a focus on the long-term vision of an organization. I believe strong leaders set the standard through their actions and earn credibility through consistency.

The second is strategic thinking and continuous learning. The healthcare industry continues to evolve, and effective leadership requires the ability to remain informed, adaptable, and forward-thinking. I have made continuous learning a priority because knowledge expands perspective and strengthens decision-making. Remaining curious, recognizing opportunities, and thinking beyond the immediate moment have been instrumental in my professional growth.

The third is relationship building and effective communication. In healthcare, trust is fundamental to successful professional relationships. As ACP has grown, I have placed significant value on relationships built on professionalism, respect, transparency, and integrity. Meaningful relationships develop through credibility, consistency, and an understanding of the responsibility that comes with being trusted by others.

Together, these qualities have shaped the way I lead ACP and work with healthcare providers. They have reinforced an important principle for me: professional success is built through the continuous development of leadership, knowledge, judgment, and the ability to create meaningful value for others.

For those early in their journey, my advice is simple: build your knowledge, protect your integrity, and hold yourself to a standard of excellence.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely. I am always open to building meaningful professional relationships with healthcare leaders and organizations that share a commitment to excellence, integrity, and long-term growth.

Through ACP Billing Services Inc., we work with healthcare organizations across all 50 states, supporting a broad range of provider types, including physicians, specialists, medical groups, hospitals, healthcare practices, and other healthcare organizations. Our experience spans diverse specialties and practice environments, including Cardiology, Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and many other areas of healthcare.

ACP partners with organizations seeking to strengthen financial performance, enhance business management, improve operational efficiency, and establish a stronger foundation for sustainable growth. We understand that every organization has its own objectives and priorities, which is why we focus on providing professional, dependable support aligned with each organization's needs.

As part of our commitment to providing meaningful value to our provider partners, ACP offers complimentary provider credentialing when ACP is the primary partner for medical billing, medical coding, and business management. We believe credentialing is an important component of a provider’s ability to establish and expand relationships with health plans, and we are proud to include this service as part of our partnership.

We welcome opportunities to work with healthcare organizations and providers at every stage of their journey, from newly established practices and individual providers to established medical groups, specialty organizations, hospitals, and growing healthcare enterprises. Whether an organization is launching, expanding, restructuring, or seeking to strengthen existing business operations, ACP is open to meaningful opportunities to support healthcare leaders across the industry.

Our goal is not simply to establish a business relationship, but to develop professional partnerships grounded in trust, accountability, integrity, professionalism, and long-term value. We believe every organization deserves a strong business foundation behind the care it provides, regardless of its size, specialty, or stage of development.
